Unified Digital Media Ecosystem at Scale

CLIENT: Mediaset / RTI, CATEGORY: CMS

/ THE REQUEST

Mediaset, whose core business centers around video content production and video streaming across multiple channels and digital properties, required a unified digital platform to manage its growing portfolio of web properties, corporate portals, and media-driven experiences.

The objective was to establish a centralized content management ecosystem capable of supporting editorial workflows, high-traffic publishing environments, and scalable integration across the group’s digital landscape.

A key example of this ecosystem is the MFE corporate portal, serving as the main corporate website managed through the VCMS platform, demonstrating the system’s capability to support mission-critical video-centric and corporate communication environments.

/ WHAT WE DID

Piksel designed and implemented a unified VCMS-based digital media ecosystem enabling centralized content governance, structured publishing workflows, and scalable deployment across multiple web properties.

The architecture harmonized editorial processes, media asset management, and publishing pipelines into a single, extensible platform aligned with Mediaset’s video-centric operating model.

Role-based access control, modular component design, and integration capabilities ensured flexibility while maintaining enterprise-level governance.

/ THE OUTCOME

The platform established a scalable digital foundation supporting Mediaset’s video streaming and corporate publishing ecosystem.

By consolidating digital properties under a unified CMS architecture, Mediaset achieved greater operational consistency, improved editorial efficiency, and enhanced scalability for high-traffic video-driven experiences.

The VCMS ecosystem continues to serve as a strategic digital backbone for both corporate and media-focused web properties.
