/ ABOUT THE JOB
Description
For our internal team, we are looking for a WordPress Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of WordPress websites, and will work on both custom themes and dedicated plugins.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and customize WordPress websites (themes, child themes, plugins).
- Create new features using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Manage integrations with external APIs and third-party services.
- Perform routine and extraordinary maintenance on existing websites.
- Ensure high performance (speed optimization, technical SEO, security).
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, compatibility issues, and technical problems.
- Implement layouts based on UX/UI mockups.
- Keep the WordPress environment up to date (core, themes, plugins).
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and coding standards.
Technical Requirements
- At least 3–5 years of experience in WordPress development, with a solid understanding of its ecosystem and internal workings.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
- Experience in creating or customizing custom plugins and themes.
- Experience building single-page applications (Vue/React) based on WordPress.
- Experience developing Vue/React SPAs within a WordPress environment.
- Experience in developing native Gutenberg blocks.
- Knowledge of version control tools (e.g. Git).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and MySQL database management.
- Familiarity with deployment tools, staging, and development environments.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred
Experience with WordPress Full Site Editing (FSE).
